Crystalline
vodka is, even in its name, a drink that is made clean, clear, and crisp. It is
distilled of impurities giving our drink its clean nature. It is the idea of
vodka enjoyed in its truest form. The idea is our drink is based on the
traditions that have been around making vodka, what we add to this is that we
use quality sources and then purify them sot that our drink has its distinctive
crisp and clean taste that. Our idea for a clean drink even carries over to our
bottle design which is a clear glass bottle so you can tell that it is as crisp
and clean as we say it is. This drink can be enjoyed without any additions, or
it could be used to enhance any drink that might need some enhancement. We
thought that it would be great if you wanted a drink to enjoy or enhance
another drink without conflicting with other foods or drinks that you may want
to enjoy. It is the kind of drink that you choose how to enjoy it. Its clean
nature is a way to experience vodka in its truest state, or for you to make out
of it whatever you want. Our drink can be enjoyed at home if you don’t want a
drink that is too strong but still want to add a bit of an edge to what you are
drinking. It can be enjoyed in a club environment as well on its own or to
enhance other drinks if it is mixed with other beverages such as soda, juice,
or whatever one can think of. It has been tried and tested in the various
nightclubs in Las Vegas and the people seem to enjoy it. We thrive on providing
a product of high quality that you will enjoy in any way that you want.

Week 8 EOC: Creative Content
I will be making a radio commercial for my final project. I have
made this decision since I am an audio major and I feel this would be the best
way for me to get my information out there. It will be a fairly straight
forward commercial with some music fitting each instance it is mentioned, even
changing with the dialogue, various sound effects, and the dialogue. The
delivery of this should be at a fairly relaxed but concise rate as the drink is
relaxing but the radio spots are typically limited to 15 or 30 seconds. I
imagine the music being played in the background to be fairly light or in some
cases atmospheric, if I mention a club scene some thumping bass to rise up in
the background as well. The drink itself is relaxing however it is not limited
to relaxing, that is why for the music selection it shall be relaxed, but when
a club or something like that is mentioned there will be other music playing as
well. Sounds of smooth liquid being poured. The advertisement would then end
with a quick line of dialogue saying please drink responsibly.
This will be posted on in a video with a picture of the
drink that I will be advertising. I have some Photoshop abilities so I plan on
getting a picture of a bottle and manipulating it in such a way that it would
appear to be the actual bottle that I am talking about. I’ll try to make the
image as clean as possible as I feel the drink itself would be very clean as
well. It being a radio commercial it would only require one person to work on
it. I will be doing all the recording and image manipulation for this project. That
is what I plan on for my creative content.

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch
The Idea I have for my vodka would be an extremely clean and
neutral vodka with no impurities. Due to its clean and clear nature it would
have the name Crystalline. It would use distilled water to remove any
impurities from the water that could detract from the clean crispness of the
drink. Its neutral flavor means it could go with just about anything. You have
a nice meal and not worry about if the flavor of the food or if you just had
another drink and want something that has a nice clean taste. It isn’t meant to
overpower or make its taste a predominant one, though you could enjoy its taste
it isn’t one that will spoil anything you just had. This is a drink you could
have on a night out with some friends having a good time or if you just want to
relax at home and want something that isn’t going to hit you too hard. This
could be a drink you mix other beverages or just enjoy on its own. You could
choose to enhance its flavor or just enjoy its crisp clean nature as it is. This
is a drink that could be used for just about any occasion and, again due to its
clean and neutral nature, doesn’t limit itself as something would be had at a
certain time of year or for a certain celebration. It could be used for
celebration or relaxation, it could be used for just about anything or whatever
the person drinking the beverage would want to enjoy it. This drink invites a
person to make of it whatever they want. The name Crystalline brings forth an
idea of clear purity. It is a drink that is clear, crisp, and clean, won’t
overpower you, and can be enjoyed for any occasion.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting
Job recruiters using Facebook to
find new employees is an interesting idea. There are already job boards, such as
LinkedIn, that are created for this purpose I can see why they would want to go
to Facebook though, this website has more than 750 million users, many more
users than the job board sites, so therefore it wouldn’t be hard to find
somebody that would want to work on a website with so many people. “Facebook's
use as a job-recruitment tool remains small, but its appeal may be growing.
Some recruiters say they have all but eliminated their spending on job boards,
which can charge a few hundred dollars per job posting, depending on volume (Job
Recruiters Turn to Facebook-WSJ).” It hasn’t phased out job boards yet, but
some people worry that it might. While some people have been hired through
Facebook, jobs requiring more experience and higher level positions are still
being done through the normal job board websites such as LinkedIn. “Marketers
are working to harness the power of these new social networks to promote their
products and build closer customer relationships (Marketing, an Introduction,
142).” People use social media outlets, such as Facebook, a lot today. This is
a great way for people to connect with other people, so therefore it would make
sense that it would be a good place to find people for some work. They are already
on this website so it makes sense to go where the people are already. Some of
the downsides of this are that the job board websites are affected negatively
from this, and Facebook is a social media website, a place where people go to
communicate with each other, it is a little informal compared to job board
websites where people find people based on professional connections and then
discover jobs through that mean. It is interesting that people can get jobs
through Facebook, but it appears that jobs require more experience would be
posted through job boards.
