Target Market Strategy
“A company’s marketing environment consists of the actors and forces
outside marketing that affect marketing management’s ability to build and
maintain successful relationships with target customers.” (Pg. 66, Marketing: an Introduction, Armstrong &
Kolter). To build a relationship with the customers one must first identify who
their customers are first. The customers for Crystalline Vodka would be people
from the ages of a 21 to 35 range as we plan on putting our drink into clubs we
would be targeting a more active group of people who would want a drink every
now and then. With the target demographic identified it is important to form a
relationship with them in a way. “The aim of the entire
value delivery system is to serve target customers and create strong
relationships with them.” (Pg. 70, Marketing: an Introduction, Armstrong
& Kolter). One of the best ways today in getting in touch with a customer
base would be through the use of social media. This would mean creating
accounts and pages for this drink and keeping them active and up to date. One
of the possible ways of keeping up to date with the people would be to use a
twitter account. It is a way of staying up to date with our customer base
keeping them engaged and interested in the product. “Marketing
management’s job is to build relationships with customers by creating customer
value and satisfaction. (Pg. 67, Marketing: an Introduction, Armstrong
& Kolter). By having this drink in the clubs after a while it could earn a
name for itself. If the people like the product where it is, they will continue
to buy it and possibly go on to recommend it to their friends or other patrons.
By creating a customer base that enjoys your product you can expand as they
spread the word on how they enjoy your product.
